The group has been quiet, but I think that's because we're all obscenely busy.
Last month I wrote the first 3 issues for the ambitious 60 issue story arch I have planned with
kmc_geijyutsuka We're probably gonna do a one-shot of a different story together first. That script is all done, and sitting somewhere on her to do pile. Month before that I did the flats for a Zuda submission that she drew.
orangebluecream 's book is on hold due to a printing issue. I'd switch to a different print on demand company, but comixpress is the only one I've found that does custom sizes. We're considering doing something similiar to www.thedreamlandchronicles.com
I'm taking a break from comics this month to try to get my budgetting book out. But once that's done, I'm gonna hit the 60 issue story hard and try to get all the scripts done in advance. Then I can do flatting and lettering after the pages are drawn.

I'm thinking about entering...not sure. Right now money would be a more tempting prize than 10 seconds of fame...but might be good to try just for the exercise of it if nothing else.
I'm tentatively planning a comics and coffee meeting for May 1st. I'll try to get details up before the end of the week.
The Art tract includes "Creating Your Own Manga Comic - Process and Design Tips" and there's lots of Manga, Anime, and general Japanese fun.
Ashley has start posting preview images of Orange and Blue Cream on her deviant art blog. The shop is my end of things. It's a work in progress, but I think we've got some great designs up.
Okay the NCC died for a while. It shrunk to simply the yahoo group. Meetings and the LJ community were left in the dust.
But we miss it, so we're trying to bring it back in a new form. The thought at the moment is to start having monthly meetings at some locations like Starbucks. Possibly rotate them around Nashville, because distance issues were part of what killed the group the first time around. We'll be making announcements here as to when/where meetings will be held once we figure it out..
If you're interested feel free to chime in here with time/place suggestions. All that we ask is that you have some interest in MAKING comics, either as a writer or artist or editor, and live in/near Nashville.
The good news is many members of the old group have still been busy Making comics. Ashley and I are going to be debuting her Orange and Blue Cream comic sometime in the next few months (the plan is April). We redesigned her website for it (http://www.
Erica is giving a talk at the Nashville Artist Guild meeting this weekend (it's free).
I found this http://collectorse
Haven't had a chance to attend though. Anyone been to one? Thoughts?

It's also the day our APA stuff is due. Fate I think. So warm up for 24-comic day by making something for the APA.
Come. Bring friends....or likeable acquaintences. Just don't bring your enemies that always turns ugly... unless they draw/write/layout really well...then go ahead and bring 'em.
Even though this is a 3rd week (and in theory we'd have a writers activity). Let's try to do an artist activity this week. Bring your sketch books! We'll try to get a volunteer to model for us for ten minutes. Maybe swap up.
So it'll be a bit like a figure drawing class without the embarassing nudity.
If you're playing along at home, try to get a friend or family member to pose for you. If no one will, you could use a picture, a mirror, or go to a public place a mall. Just try to limit yourself to ten minutes.
